The NSW Recertification Food Safety Supervisor Course is intended for previously accredited NSW FSS Certificate holders whose certification is about to expire and who want to continue being a Food Safety Supervisor in NSW. The NSW Recertification Food Safety Supervisor Course is mandated for those looking to continue working in this field in NSW.

Successful participants in the course will receive NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification which will enable them to continue working in Food Safety Supervision in New South Wales.

The NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program course allows successful participants to continue working in Food Safety Supervision. The course has three main areas of focus which include:

NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program - Course Details

The NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program course is a legal requirement for Food Safety Supervisors working in NSW. Every licensed food business must have a Food Safety Supervisor to add a level of on-site protection for food health and safety.

The CFT NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program course is written to meet the NSW legislation and is valid for five years from the date of issue.

If you hold a NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate in New South Wales, then you need to keep your certification up to date. You must complete the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program within 90 days from the expiry of your existing Food Safety Supervision certification in order to keep your certification up to date.

It is a legal requirement that certain businesses keep a copy of their FSS certificate on the premises and produce it for inspection on request by an authorised officer.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certification from the NSW Food Authority. This certification will allow participants to work as a Food Safety Supervisor in any licensed NSW food business. With the certification, participants will be able to provide on-site protection for food health and safety and ensure that all NSW food businesses meet the necessary requirements.

The NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program is delivered via e-learning (online), which provides learners with the flexibility to study at their own pace in their own time. Once you have completed the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program and achieved a passing grade, you will be able to download, save and print a PDF copy of your certificate. Your NSW FSS will be posted out within 7 days of your course completion.

Why Study a NSW Food Safety Supervisor Recertification Program Course With CFT?

A person working in the area of food safety supervision who holds an existing NSW FSS Certificate has 30 days from the expiry of the certificate to complete the Recertification course. If the course is not completed within this timeframe, then the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is deemed to be expired, and you will not be permitted to legally work in food safety supervision in NSW.

  • Your NSW FSS Recertification will be mailed to you within 7 days. Please ensure your postal details are correct.

*Please be aware that CFT is required to provide personal information to the NSW Food Authority to issue their Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

An eligible Food Business (retail or food service) must have an FSS appointed for each premise.

If the appointed FSS resigns or changes location, the business must appoint a new FSS within 30 days.
