Bunnings sausage sizzle to become safer, CFT food safety

The iconic sausage with onions from Bunnings has just become safer. Here’s why-

As a matter of safety, all 294 stores Bunnings running a sausage sizzle have been instructed by head office to add onions to the sandwiches before placing the sausage on top – so the onions don’t fall out and become a slipping hazard.

‘Safety is always our number one priority and we recently introduced a suggestion that onion be placed underneath sausages to help prevent the onion from falling out and creating a slipping hazard,’ Bunnings Chief Operating Officer Debbie Poole said.
