VIC Gov. Rebranded VGCCC to Liquor Control Victoria (LCV): What You Need to Know

The Victorian Government rebranded the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) to Liquor Control Victoria (LVC) on the 31st January 2023.  This means anyone undertaking a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course with an approved RTO will be issued a new branded certificate.

In other RSA Victoria Training news:

  • From 1 July, the Victorian Liquor Commission (VLC) is the state’s regulator for liquor licensing matters, while the VGCCC will focus only on the casino and gambling regulation
  • Here is sample of the NEW LCV certificates, no longer VGCCC
  • Victorian Liquor Commission are expecting to have a website with key information and online forms by the end of March 2023, in the meantime you can find them at vgccc.vic.gov.au
  • Online Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Refresher Course

You need to complete an RSA refresher course every three years to maintain your training requirements.

What does this mean for me?

  • Anyone completing the Victorian government approved RSA course after the 31st of January 2023, will receive a new, rebranded certificate upon completion.
  • Previously issued certificates with VGCCC logos and branding will remain valid.
  • Interstate RSA Holders: If you hold an RSA for another state or territory, you may be eligible to have that course recognised in Victoria. Visit the bridging course to check eligibility and request recognition.
